Thrasher 3.5" Pulley

Pulley Overall ShotPulley Upclose

This supercharger pulley is from Thrasher Engineering Performance.  It adds anywhere from 25-30 horse power, and for the price, it's the best "bang for your buck" that you can do to your Supercharged Grand Prix.  Many people across the nation handle the installs at this time.   Total Price: $220.00

17" Wheels/Tires

These are American Eagle 77's and they look great IMHO!  They have BF Goodrich 245/50/17 Comp T/A's on them.  You can purchase this wheel as well as others and tires at Tirerack.     Total Price: $1200.00 (Wheels/Tires)

180 Degree Thermostat

Cooler Temps, more horsepower, pretty easy when you think about it.  180 as well as 160 degree stats are available from the Grand Prix Store.  Total Price: $12.00

K&N 7" Cone Filter

Cone Overall ShotCone Upclose

K&N Filters have long been known for increasing the airflow of vehicles, therefore increasing the horse power.   I put on the 7" cone (can also use the 9"), and have probably received somewhere between a 7-12 horse power increase.  I purchased this at the Grand Prix Store.  Total Price: $50.00

Magnecor Spark Plug Wires

It's a known fact the the OEM wires that come with the GP aren't that great to begin with, but they indeed don't last much more than 25,000 miles or so.  I've recently detected consistent misfires on multiple plugs (with my Autotap), so I've upgraded my wires.  I ordered these Magnecor 8.5 mm, KV85 Competition wires from the Grand Prix Store.  Total Price: $80.00

NGK TR55 Copper Tipped Spark Plugs

At the same time I put the new wires on, I also upgraded my plugs.  After weeks of researching plugs, this is what I came up with.  Many people are running the NGK Platinum plug, but I've got many comments from people saying that under WOT, the Copper Tipped plug outperforms the platinum plug, though the copper tipped plug won't last as long.  I got these at my local parts store.  I'm also going to gap them to .055, because of the mods I have.  Thanks Terry Reals!  Total Price: $12.00

GTP Badge Overlay Kit

This badge kit, I purchased from Reflective Concepts.  It "sticks-on" right over your GTP badge, allowing the chrome of the badge to really stand out.   I chose the black kit, but it does come in a variety of colors.  The picture below shows it on a red car, but I'll post current pictures of what mine looks like soon.  Total Price: $26.00

Rear Reflective Lettering Kit

Daytime ShotNight Shot - UpcloseEvening Shot (actually in garage, but you get the idea)

Once again, I ordered this from the Grand Prix Store.  I purchased the red kit, it looks great on the rear of my GP in my opinion.  At night, when headlights shine on it, it glows red, a really cool effect.  The kit is also available (along with other GP products) directly from Reflective Concepts.  Total Price: $20.00

Poly End/Mid Link Sway Bar Bushings

Polyurethane End and Mid Link front sway bar bushings improve the stiffness and reduce the roll of the Grand Prix.  Some people say it's link purchasing an upgraded sway bar.  I once again purchased these at the Grand Prix Store.  I installed these bushings myself.  Total Price: $21.00

Buick Strut Tower Braces

Below are the Buick Strut Tower Braces (STB) that I installed on my GP.  I installed the Buick STB's instead of the Thrasher or RAT STB's for the very reason that the Buick STB's are available from any Chevy/Buick dealer for about $12.00/piece (although with the Buick's, some drilling is required).  The STB's provide more rigidity in the frame of the GP, which makes cornering a lot more fun!  You'll need one for the front and one for the back (part #12456148 for both).  Total Price: $24.00

AutoTap

Autotap hooks right into your GP (or '96 and newer GM's) and let's you retrieve trouble codes as well as monitor MANY parameters instantly from your GP.  I've already used it multiple times, and I've only had it a month.  I'm a GM guy, so I knew from the start it was a good investment.  I purchased this at the Grand Prix Store.  Total Price: $215.00

Re-Programmed PCM

Please don't ask when/where I had this done, because I can't tell you.   Many things were entered into the custom programming some of which include:   Removing speed limiter, raising shift points, early "kick down," better spark/fuel timings, etc...  All custom re-programming is only accessible in "Performance Shit" mode.  A couple companies now offer custom re-programming, it ranges from anywhere between $350.00-$400.00.

Gatorback Poly-V Belt

I just turned 40,000 miles, so with all the talk of the Gatorback belt, I thought I'd try it out.  The part number is #4060660, and I got it at a local parts store, Weaver Auto Parts.   Total Price: $34.00
