GPG '99 At the Track

OK, my first time at a track was at GPG '99, so try to hold your laughter down to a low roar when reading my times.  I'll post additional info/times later.  After running at KC I knew that something was wrong with my car.  Here's what I attribute to my crappy times:

AutoTap detected constant misfires on multiple plugs (Bad plugs/wires) - Have since installed new plugs/wires.

Dirty K&N Filter (don't know how it was breathing?) - Have since cleaned it.

Running 91 Octane (91 octane was the only thing I could find, they were out of 104 at the track, and it usually gets 93!) - Won't make that mistake again!

Didn't take the pressure of the tires down - Will next time.

Also didn't use the list of things you SHOULD do at the track below.  I compiled this list after my terrible times to help others out.  Next time I'll follow my own advice!

Track Tips:

Prep:

Stock Tires: front@24 PSI, rear @45 PSI.

Pull fuse #28 (ABS/TCS).

Remove IAT.

Keep hood open in pits.

Ice Supercharger between runs.

Run gas tank as empty as possible, and add 2-3 gallons of 100-104 octane at the track (Ideal to average out to 97-98 octane).

Empty Trunk.

Spring blocks on rear springs.

Remove air filter, add ducting to fender or headlight opening.

Staging:

Turn off all accessories.

Turn TCS off.

Turn Perf Shift On.

Shifter in 2nd.

Dry hop tires to clean them (short 1 second burnout).

Brake torque engine to 2000 rpm.

Watch for 2nd yellow light to go off, then let off the brake (personal preference).

Launch:

Let off the brake and give it about half gas to start, and then open it up.  This will keep your wheel spin minimal.

Leave it in 2nd until right before the trap, then shift into 3rd.
